W 7.28.05 Today marked the official first day of recording our next album. Rather than recording in a decked out studio, we thought it would be interesting to try and do most of the recording ourselves this time. Here's some Whiles Trivia for you... Two of the songs off the "Colors" album were recorded on our own. Which ones do you think they are? Anyways, after setting up the gear and testing the levels, we did a few takes of the song "Spanish Steps", aka "Still Haunting Me". You can find a demo of the song in the "Latest News" section on the homepage. We tried recording the song live (everyone playing at once rather than individually) and it sounded good. Matt added some new flair to the song with his lap steel rather than playing guitar. We're going to come back to the song tomorrow and listen to it with fresh ears. Stay tuned.
